Enthronement Guild to Host Solemnity Vigil Mass at St. Joseph Marello Parish in Pittston
The Sacred Heart Enthronement Guild in the Diocese announces its annual Eucharistic celebration
commemorating the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held on the Sacred Heart Feast,
Friday, June 16, at 4 p.m. at St. Joseph Marello Parish in Pittston. Serving as principal celebrant will be
Father Daniel Toomey, Spiritual moderator of the Sacred Heart Enthronement Guild. Concelebrating the
liturgy will be Oblates Father Rev. Joseph Sibilano, O.S.J., and Fr. Lee Havey, C.P. of St. Ann’s Basilica
who will also serve as homilist.
Music ministry for the Mass celebration will be provided by the Sacred Heart Singers, directed by Ernie
Pappa. A musical prelude will begin at 3:45 p.m. in the Church. A dinner reception in the Parish Center
will follow the Mass. Patrick Williams, Enthronement Guild board president, will serve as master of
ceremonies. The Enthronement of the Sacred Heart apostolate enables families and individuals to
consecrate their homes to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Homes that have
been enthroned become an extension of the liturgy, whereby faithful can follow up their Eucharistic
devotion in church with prayerful devotion in their own private settings.
For Reservations or further information on Enthronement of the Sacred Heart, contact Maria Pappa,
Coordinator of the Enthronement Guild, at 570-241-8172 or email: sacredheartenthronement@yahoo.com.
